Interpretive paintings are a step between Geometric Abstracts and Symbolic work.
In these paintings I have started with a more clearly defined subject in my mind, whether that be a space, a figure, an idea or a story.
Some of these paintings use the language of the Geometric Abstracts, but their relationship to the subject is enhanced. Other paintings take on a more organic and flowing style as I explore and experiment with the space around me.
